As a startup founder, the view from the top can get lonely, especially if you’re running solo. One of the most common early startup mistakes that founders make is to go at it alone for as long as possible to save money, minimize costs and efficiency. But the problem with that is the inevitable burn-out, inspiration depletion and downright loneliness.

1. Attending Networking Events/Workshops in your Field
This is one of the surest and fastest ways to meet like-minded people. People who’ll be attending these events will not only already have the predisposition of having interest in your field but because they’re there, they’re likely also looking for opportunities and are open to new challenges.

2. Join an entrepreneurs network
Almost every city with a developed entrepreneurial eco-system has an entrepreneurial network. In Portugal, we’re big fans of Made of Lisboa which has a growing list of innovators, founders and professionals in the local startup eco-system! Also we’re loving the Startup Lisboa eco-system, which supports startups only based in the country.
